As a passionate sports enthusiast, I have fond memories of playing football and baseball as a kid and I often think about the coaches who helped me develop and grow as a person, the friends I made, the wins and losses. All of this took place on the field — my second home. My comfort zone.
Starting True Field Athletics felt like a natural extension of this passion, as it allowed me to combine my love for sport and my experience with my entrepreneurial spirit. I saw the opportunity to start this business after working in several construction & landscape companies and noticed that often times there was a large disconnect between what the field owner wanted and what we were told to do - leading to an unhappy client and unhappy workers. I think it was a real-life case of the Telephone Game. Clients told salespeople who told the manager who told the supervisor who told us what the vision was.
